First, you must have a verified user account and the file* of the work you want to register on your device.
*Any file format that contains a copy of the work or provides sufficient identification of it. (PDF, DOC, TXT, ODT, MIDI, WAV, MPG, AVI, sheet music, MP3, JPG, SWF, etc.) The current file size limit for each upload is 2 GB.
Log in to your account and go to the "Works" tab.
To register a single work, click directly on "+ New registration". If you want to register multiple works at once, click on the dropdown menu to the right and select "Register multiple works".
a) To register a single work
Step 1: Creation data
- Select the category and type of work.
- Enter the title.
- Optional: Add an excerpt, description or tags.
- Indicate whether AI was used in the creative process.
- Indicate whether the work might be interpreted as reflecting real events, even if it does not.
Step 2: Allowed uses
- Indicate your rights reservation: All rights reserved or only some (e.g., Creative Commons).
- Indicate whether or not you allow AI training with your work.
- Choose whether the registration information will be public or not.
Step 3: Authorship and rights
- Indicate whether you are the author or, if not, whether you hold other rights.
- You may add co-authors by clicking the "Add inscription" button.
Step 4: Content file / Add the file with your creation
- Select the file that contains or represents your work. Drag and drop it or upload it from your device.
- You may also register from a web link, Google Drive, or Google Photos, but only one file at a time.
- You can now complete the registration or save it as a draft if you want to edit it later.
b) To register multiple works at once
Step 1: Creations data
- Select the category and type of works.
- Optional: Add a summary or description, and tags common to all works.
- Indicate whether AI was used in the creative process.
- Indicate whether the works might be interpreted as representing factual events, even if they do not.
Step 2: Allowed uses
- Indicate your rights reservation: All rights reserved or only some (e.g., Creative Commons).
- Indicate whether or not you allow AI training with your works.
- Choose whether the registration information will be public or not.
Step 3: Authorship and rights
- Indicate whether you are the author or, if not, whether you hold other rights.
- You may add co-authors by clicking the "Add inscription" button.
Step 4: Content files / Add the files with your creations
- Select the files that contain or represent your works. Drag and drop them or upload from your device.
- You may also register from a web link, Google Drive, or Google Photos.
Step 5: Titles of the creations
- Enter the titles manually or use the uploaded file names.
- You can now complete the registration or save it as a draft if you want to edit it later.
