About the work

FOR NOW

For now we’re writing down
The churches where we’ve prayed,
And though we don’t know how,
The people we’ve betrayed.

For now we’re trying to save
The ashes of our faith,
The sickness of our love,
And handle them with care.

And when we try to catch the sorrow
And sadness from their eyes is when
The hatred of our lies become
The things we’ll never ever dare to do.

For now we just reluctantly accept
To keep on living dwelling on our knees and on our steps,
And even though we try to do our best
Just try it hard, do it once, once again.

For now it’s time to quit
Resentments there are left
And thus we’re bound to heal
The wounded and the upset

For now it’s time to bleed
Those blisters of remorse
Which try to escape our flesh
And spread upon our skin

And while we’re counting down the wounds
That we still keep inside is when
That sense of lost just gives us back
That brave and slightest feeling to survive

But for now we just reluctantly accept
To keep on living dwelling on our knees and on our steps,
And even though we try to do our best
Just try it hard, do it once, once again.
